Entrepreneur, recovery advocate, and founder committed to creating recovery housing with integrity.
Shane McFall is a Pittsburgh native and entrepreneur with deep roots in the region. Born and raised north of the city in the Wexford area, he now lives within Pittsburgh proper and has built multiple successful businesses including a boat rental company and real estate ventures. His primary passion is jewelry appraisal and evaluation, where he’s developed extensive expertise in gemology and precious metals.
Shane’s connection to recovery housing is personal. Early in his recovery journey over a decade ago, he lived in a recovery house that provided the structure and support he needed to get clean. That experience shaped his understanding of what makes recovery housing work and what people need during their most vulnerable period of sobriety.
The decision to start The Linden Grove Foundation came from a simple conviction: the recovery housing that helped save his life should be available to others who need it. Shane saw too many substandard operations in Pittsburgh that treated residents as income sources rather than people in crisis. He wanted to create something different, a recovery house run with integrity, compassion, and real accountability.
As President, Shane brings both his business acumen and his lived experience to the foundation. He understands the operational challenges of running a nonprofit while never losing sight of the human element. Recovery housing isn’t just a business model to him. It’s personal.
Shane’s vision for Linden Grove is straightforward: create safe, structured environments where people can focus on building their recovery without exploitation or neglect. He knows firsthand that the right housing at the right time can be the difference between relapse and lasting sobriety. His commitment is to ensure that Linden Grove provides that foundation for every person who walks through the door.
